I Love Your Mum!

The beautiful mums Erin brought over a week ago are still blooming in their radiant glory.

As the great manipulator and Photoshop, I didn't have to enhance the flower blooms, they were already perfection, but I removed the background and added  some subtle shadow for a very dramatic look. Great Halloween colours. Click the pic to enlarge.

The Dogwood From Our Kitchen Window

The dogwood leaves are bright red and with the rain glistening on them, I just had to snap a close-up shot. Hope you enjoy. Remember, you can click on any picture to enlarge it.

I Fear For The Good People Of The USA...

I am very glad that I do not have to vote for any of these clowns. Maybe there should be a discriminate age limit? Everyone that is old is not necessarily wise. My 'artoon' pic for today.

What Time Is It? It's 'Tim Time'...

Well, I've already changed my watch an hour back even though we are a couple weeks away from the big day. One thing that really gripes me is the biannual clock fudging, promoted by my government, meddling in my life in the name of the ridiculous Daylight Saving Time.

I'm trying an experiment to minimize the effects of this stupid infringement on my rights as a human. A couple of days ago I reset my watch, and because the rest of the family is not willing to participate in my mini-rebellion, I guess I'm on my own.

You can see that the TT Time Zone occupies a very small part of Canada

I've been, as much as possible, dwelling in my very own time zone - I'll call it "Tim Time" (TT). Today I didn't get out of bed until nearly 8 am TT. (9am your time) Amazingly Wendy also slept to 8 TT. I haven't been overly keen on delaying my usual Happy Hour to 4pm TT (which puts me at 5 your time) but I'll play the game. Since we can't really go anywhere anyway, TT so far serves my needs. I seem to be adapting well.

Personally I don't care whether they stay permanently on Daylight Saving Time or Eastern Standard Time. Just go with one or the other! Hopefully on the big adjustment day on November first, back to Standard time, I'll hardly notice any change. I'll let you know.

A Fall Drive Around Town

The leaves are beginning to look spectacular especially on this beautiful, bright, sunny day. We visited Greenway Park, the Coves, Woodland Cemetery and then Wendy's old family home on Riverside Drive. I took at least a hundred pictures. Here's a few:

Igrets at 'the Coves'.

We drove by Wendy's old family home site on Riverside Drive. Wow, the trees that her brother Doug planted are getting huge and in full colour.

The new owners finally paved the driveway. A dream of Wendy's Dad Howard.

Our Annual Christmas Get-Together, COVID Style!

With restaurants only allowing outdoor dining, our choices are somewhat limited this year. They said they would have portable toilets for us.

My 'Artoon' for today.

Erin Brought Some Spectacular Mums.

We were so happy that Erin made the one hour drive each way to bring us some fresh vegetables and some incredible chrysanthemums.

As usual you can click on a picture to enlarge it.

"Polk Salet Annie"

We have a giant Indian Polkweed plant growing down by the old wheelbarrows by the pool house.

The berries and most all of the plant are poisonous to humans but the Polkweed has many medicinal uses. CLICK HERE to read more about this amazing weed.

Happy Thanksgiving!

I Used To Be With "It"

I sent this clip to my brother-in-law Brad and his boys.

Hi Brad,
I've had this quote from April, 1996 (April 1996 was the exact time we sold Carroll Healthcare) Season 7 episode 22 on my blog for several years. It seems to be more and more relevant today:

Grandpa (Abe) Simpson said:

"I used to be with it, then they changed what 'it' was. Now what was 'it' isn't 'it', and what is 'it' is weird and scary to me. It'll happen to you too." The Simpsons

"Sad Liberty", My Artsy Pic For Today

"The world is not a happy place these days. I fear we are losing our freedom day by day. Sad Lady Liberty hugs the urn containing the ashes of our freedom and the torch symbolizing enlightenment is extinguished." Tim C. 2020

"Sad Liberty" Lady Liberty hugs the urn containing the ashes of our freedom and the torch symbolizing enlightenment is extinguished."

Here's the components of my composite.

I took three elements and melded them into one final expression.

Hope you enjoy my most recent work.

The Point Clark Lighthouse

When we had our boat the Phoenix the Point Clark lighthouse was sometimes our first sighting of land when we headed north from Sarnia to Kincardine and points beyond. (about 130km from the Blue Water Bridge to Point Clark on a heading of about 8 degrees magnetic)

My 'artsy' pics for today shows this historic Imperial lighthouse built in 1859.

Just for fun! Click a pic to enlarge.
