Just in time for American Thanksgiving, a wild turkey hen takes up new territory just outside our back door.
Actually she or other turkeys like her have been lurking around the area for months.
She has recently been attracted by the bird feeder and the daily feast of sunflower and other seeds that Wendy puts out for the squirrels and birds. With the land covered by snow, the bird feed looks particularly good I imagine.
Below is a pic I took back on July 14. Until now the turkey(s) have kept their distance and have been sighted well out in the back yard and on the golf course.
