These pictures were all taken along Mullifarry Drive/Zion Road between Strathroy and Sarnia around 10 am on Thursday February 28.
The icy cold temperature (-12 C) and an eerie absence of any wind meant every view was completely still and quiet. The camera barely captures the true feeling of the silent wonder before us.
We had to stop for some pictures. They really speak for themselves so not much commentary is needed...
A heavy, crystalline hoar frost coated everything. To add to the magnificent beauty, a light snow had also fallen overnight.
This lone tree (above) contrasted with the flat farm fields and the long straight road.
This willow tree (above) was remarkably stunning!
Every mile held new vistas of scenic, frozen beauty.
