A lot happened last year (2019) at about this time:
We had to cancel our Caribbean cruise due to Wendy's eye surgery. (Thank goodness we discovered the problem before embarkation)
Our good cruising friends John and Cheryl and Mark and Louise embarked on their cruise, only to have it abruptly cancelled a week later due to 'mechanical problems'. They had to wait in Florida for their return flights.
Back in Toronto, while they were gone, Cheryl's beloved dog Magic passed away on December 9th.
