The trail was closed but that didn't stop us.
It turns out it was just the railings damaged on one of the bridges. Hardly reason to close the trail in my opinion. Oh well, both of us are still agile enough that we could climb over the barricades.
The battle is early this year and Spring came late so there wasn't too much to see as far as Springtime vegetation but we enjoyed the walk.
Doug Robinson, Seamus (pronounced shay-mus) in white/red talks with other reenators.
We had a nice visit with some the reenactors including Shamus who brought the crowd to tears at the reenactment last May. CLICK HERE to go back to the Backus-Page Battle of Culloden and you'll see pictures of our friends (reenactors) Pete and Donna and Shamus.
All in all a very nice Spring Day. The weather cooperated and when the sun was out it felt nice and warm even though the temperature didn't get much above 14C.
