Sitting out on the back deck in full sunshine, I swatted the first pesky mosquito this year.
This is not a good thing since the mosquito is known to carry all kinds of awful diseases. The diseases we never had in Canada before are moving north with the warming trend that we have seen in this part of North America lately.
