Hi Tim & Wendy: Enjoying your blog....we must set one up for the "kids" altho not sure how much info they would share! Megan is home from the Yukon...she is enjoying her first job as a graduate nurse and learning so much in her little 50 bed hospital. Gaining much more experience there than she would in the GTA...she has taken a position on the LDR (Labor, Delivery & Recovery) and has assisted on her first delivery!! Wow seems unbelievable to us as parents, this young woman has grown up so fast & is now doing things we couldn't possibly imagine! She is still on contract so we are not sure when she plans to return to Ontario, but for now we are just enjoying her "being around"....of course fitting in visiting with all her friends has taken up alot of her time, but it's nice she is back in Brampton (until Dec. 27th & then she is flying back via Edmonton since I think she has to work New Year's). She has adopted a dog, part Husky, who was kicked off the dog sledding team since he was not a team player and would not "mush"....much too friendly apparently and/or lazy to make the team so she has offered to take care of him. I feel better she has him on her hikes and horse back riding excursions, altho' last month with 40 below zero temperatures with the wind chill, there wasn't much hiking going on! Even her car tires froze!!! She has some great Yukon character stories to tell & I hope she starts a journal to record them. It's definitely a different lifestyle to embrace, but Megan seems to be enjoying the cultural differences. William is also home for his Christmas Break, he finished his exams Dec. 13th so he gets a nice few weeks to relax. I of course have lost possession of my car....they drop me off to go to work & I manage to get home just in time to see them off to visit their friends! Hope all goes well finding a place for Gene, we will all be in that situation of role reversal and becoming the caregivers, but hang in there, things will work out!
