We said our goodbyes to everyone on the Maasdam after breakfast and departed for the Park N Fly van back to our car. David and Reenie made their way to the airport to get rid of their luggage and we met them at departures at about 9:45 am. They don't fly out until 8 pm so we have some time together. First, we drove over to the Sleep Inn to book our hotel for tonight. Then we explore around Fort Lauderdale and board the tour boat Carrie B
A heavy thunderstorm put a damper on our cruise. This was the only rain of our entire trip and we found out later it caused huge delays for our other friends waiting on the tarmac to take off at the Fort Lauderdale airport.

Can you believe this is Billy Joel's boat being towed down the river. I don't either but that's what the guide said.
For our late 4 pm lunch David suggested the Rustic Inn. Very good, very noisy and large portions. Mallets are supplied to smash the crab shells.
